CBD 101: Full Spectrum vs Isolate

What is the difference?  Full Spectrum vs isolate?

Full Spectrum

Full Spectrum is a product that has CBD plus additional cannabinoids (like CBC, CBG, CBN, THC, etc) and/or additional terpenes….basically, it’s not an Isolate.

CBDPure is a full Spectrum product because it has many cannabinoids including trace, legal amounts of THC.  This mix of cannabinoids and terpenes provide an entourage effect of benefits. View the CPDPure Lab Reports.

Lab reports are very important.  You must read the labs to know what is in the product.  Does it have THC?  Does it have CBG which has been researched and proven to stabilize mood?  Does it have CBC which has been researched and proven to aid in brain development?

Isolate

An Isolate includes CBD only (one cannabinoid), no other terpenes or cannabinoids.  There are fancy names for isolates such as Broad Spectrum, 100% CBD, 100% Pure CBD, 99%+ Crystalline CBD and so on.

KoiCBD is an Isolate product.  Their products include no THC and the labs reflect exactly the content.

Summary

An Isolate is like a vitamin C pill, while a Full Spectrum product is like an entire orange (provides vitamin c, fiber, other nutritional qualities). Both are good, both provide benefits, but the full spectrum product provides a bit more.

It is important to read the labs to see if you are purchasing an Isolate or Full Spectrum and what is included if it is labeled full spectrum.
