How to Infuse CBD Terpsolate To Oil (Coconut, Olive, MCT)

CBD Slab, Terpsolate, Shatter.  I used CBDistillery Jack Herer Terpsolate.  99% pure CBD Isolate plus strain specific Terpenes. (Zero THC)

Jack Herer –

Above all else, Jack Herer is an energizing, daytime sativa. Technically, this strain contains only about 55% sativa lineage, but the stimulating effects and mental clarity make this a true sativa in experience.

You’ll start to feel this herb shortly after your first taste. Jack Herer has a reputation for bringing on a fast-acting, head-focused high. If you have anything you need to get done quickly, this strain will give you the energy, focus, and wherewithal to get it done. (

Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil.  (Other options are Olive Oil or MCT Coconut Oil…these stay liquid and may be easier to work with later.) – Unrefined Coconut Oil will solidify when cool so must be slowly warmed and shaken gently to mix well before using as a drop.

Amber bottles – 1 oz bottles (30ml)

Funnel – for easy pouring.

Double Boiler Set up – Pot of slow boiling water.  Glass bowl on top of water, but not touching the water.  Must be gentle boil and not too hot.  CBD evaporates at 320 degrees Fahrenheit (120 degrees Celsius).

Candy Thermometer – to monitor temperature.

STEPS (to make 1000 mg in 30 ml of oil; 33mg/ml)

  1.  Melt the coconut oil to make into a liquid and measure 30 ml.  (I used a children’s Motrin measuring cup…filled to 15 ml twice)
  2. Add the melted 30 ml of coconut oil into (or back into) the double boiler (pot of boiling water with glass bowl set on top) and add the 1 Gram (1000 mg) Jack Herer Terpsolate to SLOWLY melt.  (Use a candy thermometer to keep temperature under 320 degrees Fahrenheit (120 degrees Celsius) so as to not evaporate and waste the CBD.)
  3. Melt completely, mix evenly, and pour into amber glass bottle using the funnel to get every drop.  This oil contains 1000mg of CBD in 30 ml of oil for 33mg/ml.  (1 drop = 1.1 mg)

This oil can be used as sublingual (under the tongue) drops, infused with chocolate, added to juice, yogurt, ice cream, etc.

This oil is refined Coconut oil so it will solidify when cool, so it must be warmed/melted and shaken to mix before using.
